The main operation of Allando Trailways AS is the organization of international highway transportation of goods and different transportation solution combinations. In providing transportation solutions, we use both our own as well as other company product carriers (see highway shipping), airplanes (see air cargo), cargo trains and ships. In accordance with the client’s needs and the products, the product carriers are equipped with a tent or refridgerated coupling.

Since we are a self-developed company and we are always learning, we strive to stay competitive thanks to continuous investment into employee development and the continued growth of our transportation vehicles. Our work collective is formed of specialists who are experienced and innovative in their areas of expertise, and who are ready to communicate in several different European languages. Our company can be characterized as finding fast and professional transport solutions through our client centre services.

Allando Trailways AS is an active member of several specialist associations. Amongst them are the Estonian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (since 1992) and the Estonian International Association of Trucking, ERAA (since 1996).

The story of the beginning of Allando Trailways AS, falls together with a large turning point in European history. Europeans will remember for a long time to come, August 20th, 1991. The riots in Moscow that August, gave three Baltic countries the unique opportunity to restore their freedom, which was taken from them in 1940. Along with their independence in August of 1991, Estonia replaced economic planning with private enterprise. The latter allowed innovative people the opportunity to restore the damaged economy. During this vast time of change, Allando Trailways AS was one of the first companies established in Tallinn, on October 10th, 1991.

Our main operation for the years 1991-1996 was the wholesale of leather, semi-manufactured and lumber products, as well as exporting. For more effective transport of lumber, leather and semi-manufactured products within Estonia, we bought two KAMAZ type trucks in 1994. We tried to find additional loads for the trucks to transport. From that time on, we have dealt with transporting and dispatching. Our first destinations were Finland and North-Western Russia. Over time, we started to transport products to other European countries.

A couple of years later, other courses of action receded into the background and the main operation became transport. Since the year 1996, the development of our company has been very fast. In the year 2005, we had 120 trucks and combined trailers. Our net sales was more then 17 million euros. In the year 2006, Allando Trailways transacted the receiving of products to more then 16 000 consignees. In offering clients customhouse brokering services, transportation insurance and third-party liability insurance for truckers, we established Allando Ekspeditsioon OÜ in 2001 as another subsidiary.

The expansion of Allando Trailways in Europe started with the opening of a subsidiary in Riga in 2004. At the moment we have subsidiaries in Riga, Warsaw (2005). In 2007, Allando Trailways was employing more then 180 specialists in four European countries.
